Seven thousand feet up in the Colorado Rockies, stepping down along a significant nearby knoll covered in champagne snow rests a 600,000 sf mixed-use hotel and conference center. The Steamboat Grand Summit Ski Resort, quietly nestled under one of the largest North American mountains, was designed to reflect on the natural beauty of the small friendly town of Steamboat Springs and to capture the essence of the great western lodges still alive today. From the Principal’s rough pencil sketches, Sean was instrumental in carefully planning, designing and coordinating the details to the entry Porte Cochere which helps to enhance the Steamboat Grand Summit Ski Resort as a point of destination for winter and summer fun. SKI Magazine named Steamboat one of North America’s top 30 premier mountain summer resorts in its May/June 2002 issue.
